From the Miriam Webster online dictionary: com·mu·ni·cate verb \kə-ˈmyü-nə-ˌkāt\: to give information about (something) to someone by speaking, writing, moving your hands, etc. A teacher must give information to her students and her student's parents concerning progress towards a goal. In order to do this a teacher must keep track of all student's work and assessments. Using that information a teacher must communicate the information to the student as the course progresses and then on to the parent.
Currently I am learning to use the Jumprope platform to keep track of both progress towards learning targets and progress towards habits of learning. This progress will be reported out after a particular unit or about every 6 weeks. Parents will receive an email informing them that a report is being given to their child and that they should expect it.
